Activities

Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM.
Discussion of items for website
1. Agreed to post mooring numbers along with names of holders on the town website, so that an individual can find his own mooring number or who a certain mooring number is registered to.
Review of ordinance for town meeting

The Committee decided on the following changes or non-changes based on proposed HWC ordinance change. Items in bold need to be revisited.

Section 1 and 2:
1. no change
Section 3: definitions
1. Keep definitions as changed except
2. Floats, Moored: revisit
Section 5: Mooring Registration and Regulation
1. Keep this wording (in 2-23-07)5.1.2 Requirements for New and Renewal Mooring Registration
2. Applicants for a new mooring registration must submit a completed application form to the Town Clerk on forms available in the Town Clerk’s office. Applicants for a renewal mooring registration need only submit a new completed application form to the Town Clerk if there are any changes to the registration from the prior year or at the request of the Town Clerk or Harbormaster. All applications shall include the following information:
3. Remove references to “Documentation,” “mooring gear,” and phrase about and the phrase “and the GPS location, if possible.”
4. Service moorings
5. Permit stickers OK
6. Shorefront owners
7. Remove occasional use moorings
8. Rental moorings shall read (as in 2-23-07)
  “Rental Moorings
  No mooring shall be used as a rental mooring without the prior written approval of both the Harbormaster and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.”
