Committee Members: Present: Burr Taylor, Peter Darling, Bill Bartley,
Steve Rowe, Len Duda, Bill Blood

Activities
- Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM.
- Agenda per Burr Taylor: Consideration of the application,
Consideration of where we go from here, and Consideration of when we
want to get there. Burr handed out the “Bay Management Study’s
recommendations”, and a copy of the improved mooring application.
- Minutes for 3/28/07 accepted.
- Harbormaster’s report: None for this meeting.
Old Business

We were not ready to counter the unexpected
negative perceptions. We still feel that we should respond to the
comments made at the meeting and comment on why Harpswell needs an
up to date Mooring Ordinance and why we need a full-time
Harbormaster.

Steve Rowe facilitated an effort to define a
course of action to pass an improved Ordinance and implement a
Harbor Management Plan. After we developed a clear and concise
message, how do we communicate it to the public?

The committee accepted the final draft of the
new and improved mooring application form.
New Business
-
We expect new members to start to start their
terms in the month of May.
