Activities
- Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM.
- Agenda per Burr Taylor: Review town meeting on the ordinance
being voted down. Discuss problem areas. Where do we go from
here? How to respond? Burr handed out a map of Harpswell.
- Minutes for 3/14/07 accepted.
- Harbormaster’s report: Report on the Annual Harbormaster
meeting. Jim handed out a report titled “2007 Annual Maine
Harbormasters Training” which he reviewed with the committee.
Old Business

Reviewed Town Meeting / Ordinance rejection.
People did not have time to read or understand the changes. People
perceived that it was a big change when it really was a rewrite for
clarification purposes. About 90% of the people went along with the
opposition’s view. We were not ready to counter the unexpected
negative perceptions. We still feel that we should respond to the
comments made at the meeting and comment on why Harpswell needs an
up to date Mooring Ordinance and why we need a full-time
Harbormaster.

Jim will email a flow chart that he made last
years expectations.
New Business

Official start for the committee will be May
1st. May will be the starting date for new members. We decided to
meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 6:00 PM.

New Members: Scott Moody and expecting
another.

Municipal Building.
